Mystical Monday: you have everything you need

A recording from Meg Tietz's live video

Hello and happy Monday, my friends! Whether you see this today, March 24, 2025, or whenever you come across it, I hope something here speaks to you.

As usual, this is the abbreviated and cleaned-up transcript of this morning’s Mystical Monday Live on Substack. I know many of you are here for written words, so this transcript captures the highlights. If you want to watch or listen to the recording, you’ll get further context.

TRANSCRIPT:

It’s time for Mystical Monday. I'm Meg Tietz, the writer of Gemini Wrongs on Substack. I think I’m mostly speaking to my Gemini Wrongs community, whom I call the Gems because they are so very shiny.

But if you're just popping in randomly on Substack, welcome! We have conversations about non-traditional approaches to faith, particularly spirituality in a post-Christian framework, and other things like what we’re reading or watching each month.

Hi Barbara, good morning! Thank you for joining. Anyone else who comes in, this is what we do on Mondays, usually Monday mornings. This is something I started doing in the past month to explore Substack’s Live feature.

This week, I shared an Oracle card reading, but first, let’s talk about some themes and phrases that came to mind in the past week. This past week has been intense, particularly due to a family member going through a medical crisis. These moments of supporting someone through life-and-death situations really bring everything into focus: what’s important, what’s real, and what support looks like.

In the past week, I’ve spent a lot of time in prayer and meditation. It’s amazing to think about how we can support each other through our prayers and the energy we send out. Being tapped into that energetic flow often gives us the benefit of receiving messages from spirit or whatever you might call it.

One of the main messages I received this past week is: you already have everything you need. This idea came up strongly, reminding me that we all have the wisdom, strength, and resilience we need within us. In times of societal chaos, turning inward can help us find security.

Supporting my family member reminded me of the power of Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) tapping. EFT combines Eastern acupuncture points and meridians with Western cognitive behavioral therapy scripts. You tap on various points like your forehead, the side of your face, or hands, while acknowledging your distress and re-framing it positively. I found a great EFT tapping sequence on resiliency, which I’ll link in the post later today.

Another reminder from this week was the power of collective prayer and energy. Seeing its impact firsthand has been both stressful and reassuring.

Last week, I mentioned the Monroe Institute and their meditation app. Later, I discovered that they have a ton of free meditations on YouTube, including a new one called “Relax and Expand.” This meditation style uses binaural beats and audio frequencies to sync the brain hemispheres, which is different from more traditional mindfulness meditation. I highly recommend using headphones to experience the full effect.

Finally, a recurring theme for me has been the word “surrender.” It’s a reminder to release control and trust. This might resonate with some of you as part of the message that you already have everything you need.

Now, let's pull an Oracle card from the “Love Your Inner Goddess” deck by Alana Fairchild. I pulled a card called “Freaking Beautiful,” which says: “It’s better to be absolutely ridiculous than absolutely boring.”

“You are here to march to your own beat. You can be happy and free, whether the world looks at you with awe, admiration, confusion, or love - or all of these at once. Others can love you even if they don’t always understand you. Being different doesn’t always mean being alone. It’s only when you try to change yourself to fit into a stereotype that you will lose your way, become unhappy, discover obstacles, and feel increasingly rejected or defeated. The Universe doesn’t want you to be someone else. It wants you to be you! When you quit trying to fit in, and be yourself, you win!”

Alright, Gems, those are my thoughts for today. As always, I will clean up this video and the transcript for Gemini Wrongs later today. Thank you so much for joining Mystical Monday. I’d love to hear your thoughts or suggestions for future topics. Have a beautiful, playful week expressing yourself, and I’ll see you next time.

Thank you all so much for your ongoing support! I’m thinking of y’all always.

Don’t be surprised if I go Professor Trelawney mode and bust out some tea leaves,

Meg
